The Tyson Music Studio welcomes students of all ages and skill levels, in both piano and voice!
Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to the music after years away, our in-person lessons offer personalized instruction in a supportive and inspiring environment. We work with children, teens, and adults to develop strong foundations, musical expression, and a lifelong love for music.

What to Expect from Lessons
At Tyson Music Studio, students attend weekly, in-person lessons, perform in recitals, and work toward personal goals within a structured curriculum. Depending on their level, students are also encouraged to participate in music festivals, honors recitals, and competitions to gain performance experience and build confidence.
Lesson Duration Options
We offer flexible lesson lengths to fit each student’s level and goals:

30 minutes – Recommended for beginners

45 minutes – Ideal for advancing beginners and intermediate students

1 hour – Best for advanced intermediate and advanced students
Lesson length can increase over time as students progress or choose a more intensive path.

Student Levels

Beginner
New to piano or voice, with or without prior music reading experience. May have played or sung for a short time but still at the early stage.
Intermediate
Comfortable reading music, singing with relative pitch, playing with accuracy. Students at this level may choose between a relaxed weekly approach or a more focused, competitive lesson plan.
Advanced
Able to play or sing advanced repertoire. Lessons can be recreational or part of a competitive track that includes more performance opportunities, technical training, and preparation for auditions or competitions.
